Preparing for your California Tan
- Exfoliate skin with an oil-free defoliator that does not leave any residue on your skin
- Shave or wax at least 1 day before tanning
- Do not moisturise at least 2 hours before tanning
- Remove your make up and jewellery
Developing your Tan
- Do Not wear wool, nylon or silk fabrics during treatment
- Apply barrier cream (provided) generously to your palms and bottoms of your feet, including nails and cuticles. Apply a very light coat to the tops of your hands & feet.
- Follow the instructions given by the autobronzer.
After your California Tan
- Wear dark, loose fitting clothes.
- Do Not wear wool, nylon or silk fabrics after your first shower.
- Wait at least 6 hours before you shower, moisturise, swim or exercise.
- Don't worry if you see colour washing off in your first shower - this is the immediate cosmetic bronzer. What is left behind is a beautiful, sunless tan.
- Cleanse your skin daily with a soap-free pH neutral cleanser, starting after your first shower.
- Do Not exfoliate for at least 48 hours after your sunless application. When you do exfoliate, do so gently and evenly.
- Moisturise daily after your first shower to maintain your California Tan for as long as possible
- Remember to wear sunscreen, as a sunless tan does not provide protection.
